چکیده
Background/Aim. Quantitative hepatitis B surface antigen (qHBsAg) has become increasingly widespread in the last few years both diagnostic and therapeutic protocols for chronic HBV infection. Numerous studies have proposed it as a surrogate marker covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA). Our study aimed to examine correlation between qHBsAg viremia untreated patients. Methods. The included 112 patients diagnosed with Demographic other data from medical records laboratory analyses taken part of routine infection diagnosis determination were recorded all Results. average age was 48.27 ? 15.14 years. Males (58%) more represented than females (42%). levels high-intensity positive viremia. concentration qHBsAg, viremia, concentrations ALT AST show statistically significantly higher values HBeAg negative Conclusion. showed that use is important determining phase infection, assessment success length treatment, well safe discontinuation antiviral therapy lower risk relapse.

Relationship between HBV DNA load and levels of serum HBsAg in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
OBJECTIVE This study aims to investigate the relationship between HBV DNA load and levels of serum HBsAg in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). PATIENTS AND METHODS Between April 20013 and July 2015, serum samples were collected from 124 CHB patients. Levels of serum HBsAg was determined using chemiluminescent immunoassay and HBV DNA load was measured using quantitative fluorescent RT-PC...
متن کاملCorrelation between HBsAg quantitative assay results and HBV DNA levels in chronic HBV
BACKGROUND Viral load has been used to diagnose and monitor patients who are being treated for chronic hepatitis B (CHB). The Diagnosis methods are molecular-based and expensive. Quantitation of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) by automated chemiluminescent micro-particle immunoassay has been proposed to be a surrogate marker. Quantitating HBV DNA levels molecularly is expensive; thus, a che...
متن کاملIs Quantitative HBsAg Measurement a Reliable Substitute for HBV DNA Quantitation?
Background: Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) is one of the main proteins of HBV envelop and its serum quantitative measurement is the most common quantitative test for monitoring the progress of Chronic Hepatitis B. Although measurement of serum HBV DNA copy number is a gold standard method for displaying viral load, the test is relatively expensive and it is not readily available everywhere...
متن کاملComparison of Serum Hepatitis B Virus DNA and HBsAg Levels Between HBeAg-Negative and HBeAg-Positive Chronic Hepatitis B Patients
BACKGROUND Chronic hepatitis B consists of different clinical phases. Laboratory and histological assessments can help differentiate the clinical phases of this disease and thus lead to better management. OBJECTIVES This study was conducted to determine laboratory and histological characteristics of HBeAg-negative and HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS In this...
